Rui Wu

Graduate Assistant

Rui Wu is currently working towards her Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Science (HDFS) at Uconn under the guidance of Dr. Rebecca Puhl.  She earned her master’s degree in HDFS from Uconn and holds another master’s degree in Communication from the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Rui’s research focuses on weight-based victimization, discrimination, exclusion, and bullying, exploring their effects on adolescent mental health. In addition, she is interested in the impact of weight bias in the media.
