Melissa McCann

Research Assistant


Melissa McCann joined the Rudd Center in 2020 as a research assistant and works with Dr. Frances-Fleming Milici on the food marketing team and Dr. Tatiana Andreyeva. Her most recent work with the marketing has focused on investigating young children’s exposure to food marketing on mobile devices and impacts of racial/ethnic targeted marketing of unhealthy foods and beverages. Through the leadership of Dr. Andreyeva, Melissa has been been analyzing factors impacting childcare center participation in the Child & Adult Care Food Program across states.
Melissa earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Neuroscience from Wheaton College in Massachusetts and a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Connecticut.
