Louvins Pierre

Communications Assistant


Louvins Pierre is a Communications Assistant at the UConn Rudd Center for Food Policy & Health. He is primarily responsible for regularly managing and updating the website, social media pages, press and media tracking, design of the monthly newsletter, and other various internal and external communications.

Louvins is a doctoral student in the Department of Communication at the University of Connecticut. He received his M.A. in Communication from UConn in 2018. He is also pursuing an Advanced Business Certificate in Digital Marketing Strategy within the Marketing Department at UConn. His research focuses broadly on Marketing Communication.

Some past and current projects explore the role of attention in website advertising effectiveness via eye-tracking technology, media variation effects on native advertising on social media, and the use of different racial/ethnic spokespersons in advertising.
