Dr. Brooke Bennett is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Rudd Center for Food Policy & Health, working with Dr. Marlene Schwartz. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with a dual emphasis in Health Psychology from the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa and was a recipient of the Department of Psychology Merit Award.
Dr. Bennett’s research focuses on weight stigma, body image, and evidence-based care for eating disorders. More specifically, she examines social and environmental factors that influence the development and perpetuation of eating and weight disorders with an emphasis on diverse and underserved populations. Second, her research explores the ways digital technology can both impact various health conditions and disorders and be used to enhance assessment, intervention, and dissemination.
