Faculty and Staff: Rebecca Heller, RD
Rebecca Heller is a Graduate Assistant at the Rudd Center for Food Policy and Obesity. She works as a member of the food marketing team to assess the influence of targeted media and marketing on childhood nutrition.
Rebecca earned her B.S. in Nutritional Sciences and Dietetics at Rutgers University. She then completed her training as a Registered Dietitian at New York Presbyterian Hospital, and continued to work as a clinical dietitian at the St. Joseph’s Medical Center in New Jersey. After working in the medical field, Rebecca conducted research as a project manager at the Rutgers University Nutritional Sciences Department in childhood nutrition.
Rebecca is currently a PhD student in the Nutritional Sciences Department at the University of Connecticut. Her research focuses on early childhood nutrition by examining optimal parental feeding practices, nutrition messaging, and methods for obesity prevention.
