Karen Haraghey

Karen Haraghey, MBA, is a Research Associate for the Rudd Center for Food Policy & Obesity. She joined the Center in July 2015 and works with Marketing Initiatives Director Jennifer Harris and the marketing team studying the impact of food marketers' advertising on children and teens, focusing on ethnic and racial disparities.

Haraghey's work with the Rudd Center follows more than 20 years in marketing management with Fortune 100 healthcare and life insurance companies, including Aetna, Anthem and CIGNA, where she saw the effects of poor nutrition and obesity on the lives of individuals and families. Karen directed market research instrumental in establishing wellness programs, provided key insights for development of new healthcare products, and measured the effectiveness of advertising and the impact of branding of customer/member loyalty.

Karen earned her MBA with a concentration in financial services marketing from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
